Ok.. what a stressful game. Two sporting events this weekend going into OT (Stars last night). The good news is that Tech won this one. It was awesome. 37-31. Go Red Raiders. Next week they play Texas A&M.

Halloween Cream Cheese Brownies

Ingredients:

1 package Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix (pouch)

1 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup sugar

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Prepare brownie mix as directed on package. Reserve 1/2 cup of the batter. Pour remaining batter in 8X8 greased pan. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. In a mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. To make the cream cheese mixture orange, add 4 drops of red food coloring and 4 drops of yellow. Pour cream cheese mixture over the partially cooked brownies. Swirl in the remaining 1/2 cup. Bake 30 minutes or until done.

C'mon Over - Tony Romo

I have to admit it. I like Jessica Simpson's new song "Come on Over". I envision that she is singing to Tony Romo. I don't consider Tony hot. He is really too young for me, but he is cute. I'd hang with him. Poor Jessie - she just don't come across bright and/or sophisticated. (Unlike Carrie Underwood - boy, does she personify "class", but I digress). I haven't listened to Jessica's CD, but I'm liking this song. Actually sang it at the top of my lungs in the car this morning on my way to work. Singing...

Downtown Dallas Cuisine

There are several food choices in the Arts District - Downtown. We have Subway and La Madeleine in my building. Caddy corner is The Plaza of the Americas. It has Corner Bakery, McDonalds, KFC, Ziggy Burgers, J Pepe's, China Dragon, etc.. As I was walking to one of the salad shops, I passed this display. I couldn't resist taking a picture - it's classic. Hmm... does a fancy display make it taste any better??? Apparently, Taco Hell is the most impressive choice in the Plaza.

Friday ROCKS

It's gorgeous weather in Dallas, Tx these days. Not too hot and not too cold. I start looking forward to Fridays on Thursday. It's Jeans Day at work. Someone always brings in breakfast, so it's a reprieve from oatmeal. Today, Taco Cabana breakfast burritos. My fav-O-rite. The best part of Friday's.... STEAK NIGHT at my Dad.

Tonight is extra cool because the Dallas Stars kick off their season against Columbus Blue Jackets at 7:30pm tonight.

CD Ejected

On Wednesday morning, at 7:52am, the Lyle Lovett "Live in Texas" CD was freed from my very controlling and ultra-crappy car stereo player. Now, you may be asking yourself, "why does she put CD's in the CD player when she knows that there is a chance they will get stuck? Why? Why? Why? Is she that stupid?"

The answer is "Yes, I am that stupid." I start out tentatively, putting one in and ejecting it right away to make sure it'll come out. When it does, sigh of relief. Then, I get cocky. Then, I just don't care. I take risks. That's me, a risk taker. It's just the way I roll.

The Real "CAT" Shoes Revealed

Apparently, my faithful blogger sidekick couldn't stop until she found the "cat" shoes. She has been searching the web since I posted the "Missed Photo Op" on 10/1. That's a lot of web surfing! Finally, success.. here is a picture of the real shoes that I saw that day. I'm sad to say that they are not "cat" shoes but apparently, "mouse" shoes. For a mere $250, they can be yours.

The only reason I'm watching "Dancing with the Stars". What is it about football players and dancers? I started watching when Emmitt Smith was on. He rocked it. So does Warren!!!

P.S. I love Rocco too, but bless his heart - he's not that great of a dancer. Brooke is the best. I'm sad that Misty "volleyball girl" is out with injury.

The 'boys play Cincinnati Bengals today. I believe the Cowboys are favored by 17 points. Game time is at 3:15pm CST. So, off to Farmers Market and the beer store !
